Recent Work

We spent time at the NEC, the National Exhibition Centre, near to Birmingham at The Gadget Show where exhibitors used their stands with great imagination promoting their products and services to visitors to the exhibition space – a sell-out . We also photographed conferences at the NIA , the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham city centre, covering speakers and delegates in planaries and in conference in the main auditorium.

Birmingham jewellery quarter has seen a new surge of energy in the start-up business sector and creative sectors. The Hilton Metropole Hotel also provides a good conferencevenue for photography and portraits of business leaders.in the West Midlands

Rock photographer and photojournalism

Originally a music photographer for the NME I then trained as a photojournalist recording historic events, sport news and features for the National and Regional press. Along the way I photographed The Commonwealth Games, Wembley Cup Finals, as well as current affairs and celebrity portrait and fashion photography. Some of the key events I photographed at the time included the London and Handsworth riots, a Royal Wedding, as well shooting fashion models on the catwalk

During my time as a photojournalist I won a number of National Awards for my work including: National News Photographer of the Year, Royal Photographer of the Year and Sports Photographer of the Year and I even managed to persuade Boris Johnson to be my assistant for a while when we worked on the same newspaper together.

Since leaving newspapers I have worked in an equally diverse photography market. More recently my assignments have included a Royal commission a Punjabi wedding party in Walsall, a business breakfast launch in Stoke on Trent, an advertising shoot for an American company in Cheshire and fashion photography for a magazine, in Solihull and Wolverhampton.

My broad experience enables me to adabt my photographic style to suit both formal and informal situations, and I am as at home as a Stoke on Trent commercial photographer as I am a marketing photographer in Wolverhampton or shooting corporate photography in Manchester and London.

My photography takes me into leading National and Multi-National companies but I am equally happy working within the public sector which includes housing associations, local authority tourism, the police, and the emergency services.
