I am a versatile and widely published  photographer with a wealth of experience in a variety of styles of photography. As a West Midlands photographer, I am well located for most of England and Wales  and happy to work anyhere in the UK - so if you require a Birmingham photographer, photography in Manchester or a specialist photographer in London or in your own location please give me a call. 

 I began my career photographing bands and musicians such as the The Stone Roses, Paul Weller and Coldplay - my pictures were often seen in publications such as the NME, Q and The Guardian. My work then took me into the newsrooms of the National and Regional press, where I photographed some key historical events, including  State visits and Royal Weddings. I also photographed major sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games and Wembley Cup Finals. During this time I won a number of awards for my work including: National News Photographer of the Year, Royal Photographer of the Year and Sports Photographer of the Year and I even managed to persuade Boris Johnson to be my assistant for a while when we worked on the same newspaper

Since leaving newspapers I have worked in an equally diverse market. I now shoot portraits for glossy magazines, annual report photography, architectural photography,  corporate photography, advertising photography, PR photography, whilst also shooting a select number of reportage weddings each year. www.paulpickardweddings.com

My work takes me to  the Birmingham ICC, the NEC in Birmingham, Birmingham Bullring, Staffordshire University, Advantage West Midlands in Aston, Birmingham, Wolverhampton University, Britannia Stadium, Civic Hall, Wolverhampton.

 Recent photography has included promotional shoots for Stoke on Trent tourism, Staffordshire Good Food Awards, Housing Association Photography, a Staffordshire winter wedding, fashion portfolio shoots in Cheshire and Birmingham, and architecural photography in Stoke on Trent and Wolverhampton.

 I have also been a photographer for Staffordshire housing associations, Cheshire weddings and Shropshire conferences.

My work as a photographer has seen me produce corporate photography for Birmingham businesses, celebrity photographs for magazines, and portrait photographs for charities, businesses and the public sector

I have been a photographer for Wella hair products including the Sebastian range and also shoot for London based advertising agencies and design companies.
